What Thomas Partey Said About Arsenal Fans After He Joined The Club

Fans of Arsenal believes that manager Mikel Arteta has brought in players that the club need at the moment.

If you recall that the Spanish boss came on board as replacement to Unai Emery who was sacked after two years at the helm of affairs at Emirates stadium.

Mikel Arteta has already began his reign as coach of the north London side with FA Cup trophy he won last season, and community shield he picked up this season.

Arsenal brought in Willian as a free agent and Gabriel from Lille, while Dani Ceballos joined on season loan from Real Madrid. But Mikel Arteta needed to bring in a defensive midfielder which he completed the transfer on deadline day.

Arsenal activated the transfer fee of Thomas Partey, as he signed a long term contract with Arsenal.

He has been handed the jersey number 18, which he was unveiled today. There are pictures of the box to box midfield mystro at the club's sport complex.

He posed for pictures with the manager, Mikel Arteta and club's director Edu while holding the club jersey.

While speaking to the media, he said that he was happy to join the Gunners following positive reactions from fans.

He said: "I was so happy, I was excited. I was not even here yet and they were crazy over me... I received a lot of messages saying 'Join the club or we are not sleeping!' - it was a great feeling."

Thomas Partey is currently in line to face Manchester City this weekend.
