Arsenal fans were exported after their long time target completed the move on deadline day to the Emirates stadium.
It was a deal with saw Thomas Partey move from Atletico Madrid, and he seems to have added steal to the midfield of the Gunners. 

Partey can play in the defensive role and he can also switch to attack as options when the Gunners need an extra body going forward. 

The international break comes to an end, and club football will return to action this weekend. 

Arsenal will hope to bounce back from their humiliating 3-0 loss to Aston Villa at Emirates stadium two weeks ago.

Mikel Arteta side will travel to Elland road to face newly promoted Leeds United on Sunday afternoon. 

It's been gathered that Thomas Partey will not recover in time for the game. 

According to reports from the north London medical team, the Ghana international is struggling with a knock which he sustained in the loss against Dean side. 

The 27-year-old missed his international trip with Ghana for Africa Nations Cup Qualifiers due to the injury.


Arsenal revealed in a fitness update on their official website: “Thomas was replaced at half-time during the match against Aston Villa and has sustained a strain to his left thigh.

“Continues to be assessed, will not be available for this weekend’s match and will continue his rehabilitation.”

Also, the Gunners have been hit with sad news that Sead Kolasinac and Mohammed Elneny will also miss the trip to Leeds United. 


Both Sead Kolasinac and Elneny contacted coronavirus while on international duty with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Egypt respectively. 

Also likes of Pablo Mari and Gabriel Martinelli are expected to remain on the sidelines until the end of the year. 

Pablo Mari and Gabriel Martinelli are struggling with ankle and knee injuries respectively. 

Pablo Mari  suffered ligament damage against Manchester City back in June, after while Martinelli was injured in training.
