Barcelona confirm Ansu Fati has suffered a muscle injury against Real Betis

Ansu Fati suffered a muscle tear during his side's 5-2 victory over Real Betis, the club confirmed on Saturday.

Fati, 18, complete the first 45 minutes, during which Barca struggled to overcome the Seville side as they entered the break tied at 1-1. 

Messi replaced his young team-mate at half-time and proceeded to score twice as Ronald Koeman side went ahead to dominate ten men Real Betis.

And after the game, Barca confirmed that Fati would require a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury. 

"Tests carried out this afternoon have shown that Ansu Fati has an internal meniscus tear in his left knee," the club explained on Twitter. 

"The treatment to be followed will be determined in the coming days."
