Chelsea fans might be having a new face when it comes to their spot kick duties. It's been reported that Frank Lampard have appointed a new player to be in charge of their penalties.
Recall that Jorginho was their previous penalty taker but seems the manager isn't happy with the former Napoli star with his misses from the spot kick recently.

Although the Blues are enjoying a good winning form and have been keeping some clean sheets. This record extended to six after their 3-0 win against Rennes in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

Fans of the Stamford Bridge outfit noticed the Blues won a penalty and Timo Werner stepped up to take the kick which Jorginho was the usually taker.

The former RB Leipzig star scored twice from penalty spot and Tammy Abraham added the third goal.

After the game, Frank Lampard admitted he spoke to Jorginho before he was stripped from taking spot kick.

"I spoke to Jorginho first because he's been brilliant at taking penalties," Lampard said post-match. "It's more missing a couple recently that I felt it was time to change. Jorgi's answer was as professional as I'd expect. He only wants to score them but he was fine with that.

"If Timo takes them as well as today he'll be happy. I'm happy he scored. Timo is as it stands now but of course he needs to keep scoring them. Today he did it very well."

Recall that the former Napoli star missed from the spot in their last Champions League game against Krasnodar.

Following Wednesday night win, Chelsea are now top their Champions League after three matches with seven points. They are level on points with Sevilla.
