Arsenal fans were sent into frenzy after pictures of their defender and striker were published by the club's official Twitter handle.
Both of the players were photographed in training which seems like a positive signs for the Gunners.
It's been gathered that striker Gabriel Martinelli and defender Pablo Mari have returned to training. The players are currently long time absentees due to injuries but it appears to be making progress on their road to recovery.
If you recall that Martinelli got injured in training in the second half of last season and he missed the remaining games of the campaign after football resumed.
While Mari who initially joined from Flamengo on loan before he made the move permanent this season was injured in last season second leg trip to Etihad against Manchester City.
Martinelli was on the rise before the injury, with good performances whenever he was called upon, including his solo goal he scored against Chelsea.
The Brazilian scored a total of 10 goals in all competitions for Arsenal last season.
In one of the pictures posted, Martinelli was spotted having a discussion with the manager.
While another snap spotted Mari moving the ball as he trained alone during his ongoing rehabilitation.
The Gunners will be hopping to have both players, with Mikel Arteta side struggling for goals and leaking goals at the back.
Arsenal travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United on Sunday evening at 5:30pm GMT.
