Manchester a city haven't been at their best this season so far, it's been nine games played in the Premier League and the Citizens don't look convincing especially when they face less oppositions who tend to sit at the back an counter in the attack.
Pep Guardiola has been criticised for their poor defensive set up when teams hit them on a counter attack. The back line often looked exposed due to their high line of style they play under the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach.
While they have been held to draws also to likes of West Ham away from home.
This leaves the Citizens in 14th on the Premier League table after their eight matches despite holding a game in hand in advantage.
Manchester City brought in defenders likes Ruben Diaz from Benfica, Nathan Ake from Bournemouth. Also, Ferran Torres joined from Valencia to support the attack after David Silva left for Real Sociedad as a free agent.
But Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has stated that the club will not be making any signings in the January transfer window.
"No, not at all. I have a fantastic team to fight for all the titles," Guardiola told Man City's official website.
Manchester City will host Burnley at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday and next week Tuesday face Porto in the UEFA Champions League haven qualified for the round of 16 following their 1-0 win over Olympiacos in the mid week.
