Everton fans seems to be signing the name of their talisman since he arrived at Goodson Park. It looked like Carlo Ancelotti has changed the fortune of Everton as the former Bayern Munich and Real Madrid boss has turned the club into Premier League contenders so far.
If you recall that Ancelotti left his role as manager of Napoli to manage Everton who were under Marco Silva.

The Italian boss came on board in January this season and ensured stability into the team.

This ended window, he brought in some decent players such as Allan from Napoli, Darcoure from Watford and James Rodriguez from Real Madrid.

The move of the Colombia international shocked many football fans. The play maker moved for £22 million ($29m) in the summer.

He has since settled at the club providing three goals and three assists as Everton are placed fourth in the table.

According to him, Carlo Ancelotti and Everton believed in him and he decided to leave Real Madrid where he has fallen under the pecking order in Zinedine Zidane team.

“Both [Everton and Ancelotti] trusted me when nobody did,” he told BT Sport. "I’ll forever be grateful to the club and to Carlo. That’s why I try to show my best in every game, that’s why I try to play at my highest level. This is what I want to do for the club.

“He’s a very easy-going person, knows how to treat players and how to get the most out of us. That’s why he worked along with all those great clubs, and now, with this new project, we expect him to do his best to achieve extraordinary things.”

If you recall that James, 29, spent six years in Real Madrid, scoring 37 goals in 125 appearances in all competitions and getting his hands on two La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns.

But he never got along with Zidane under the French boss two spells at the club. He was sent on a two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich in the summer of 2019.

He came back and he was only featured in 14 games last season under Zinedine Zidane.

James Rodriguez who made his make after the 2014 world cup in Brazil added that Everton can clinch a spot in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Asked if Everton can qualify for the Champions League this term, James responded: “I think we’ve got what we need to be there next year.

“For qualifying, we need willingness to play, we have to be hungry to succeed in every game. I believe all players need to have that same feeling. We need to follow the same path.

“Carlo Ancelotti is a king in terms of European football.”

Just so you know, it was Ancelotti, who signed the midfielder from Monaco in 2014 while he was in charge of the Blancos.
