Injury blow for Inter Milan as Romelu Lukaku set to miss Real Madrid game

The UEFA Champions League returns to our screen this week,which happens to be match day 3. 
Inter Milan will be hoping to better their last season disappointment in Champions League as they crashed out to the Europa League and were evetuwlly beaten by Sevilla in the final.
 

Antiono Conte also finished second place in the Serie A title race behind winner Juventus. 

This week, Inter Milan will face Real Madrid in their match day 3 fixture. The Italian side are yet to win a game so far in Europe this season.

Intern have played out draws in their Group B matches against Borussia Monchengladbach and Shakhtar.

Ahead of their game against Real Madrid, it's been reported that Romelu Lukaku will not be available for Conte men. The former Manchester United forward suffered a thigh injury and he's yet to recover in time for the game.

According to Goal, Lukaku went for an MRI scan after feeling discomfort during the goalless draw with Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday.

He missed Inter Milan 2-2 draw against Parma over the weekend and wasn't part of the team that trained on Monday.

“Romelu Lukaku underwent an MRI scan at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano this morning following a problem that arose during Tuesday's Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk,” read a statement on the club’s website. “The scans showed that he has suffered a strain in his left thigh. His condition will be monitored daily.”


Just so you know, Lukaku has lived up to the hype since he moved to San Siro stadium from Manchester United. He been prolific in front of goal, scoring nine goals in 11 appearances in all competitions this season so far for Inter.
