Inter Milan star Brozovic test positive for Covid-19 while on international duty with Croatia

Football has been trying to recover since the COVID-19 pandemic emerged and has shocked the world. If you recall that the deadly coronavirus caused football to be on a three months break. 
Some European leagues such as French Ligue 1, Holland Eredivisie, Belgium's Jupiter league and others decided to cancel the season.

But England's Premier League, Italy Serie A, Spain's La Liga decided to finish the season as the games were played behind closed doors.

The coronavirus has continued to affect activities in football world with players testing positive for disease.

But the good news is that there has been no record of death of any player. 

It's been serious record of positive test in Italy with some league games had to be called off.

According to reports, Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has tested positive for coronavirus.

Goal reported that he tested positive while on international duty with Croatia. 

The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) announced Brozovic's Covid-19 result on Friday, along with a member of staff. They have immediately be placed under self-isolation. 


For Inter Milan, likes of Hakimi Achraf, Ashley Young recently over came the coronavirus.

"The test results showed two positive results, for the national team member Marcelo Brozovic and a staff member of the national team," a statement read. 

"Both were immediately isolated from the other members of the national team. Inter were informed of the positive test."


If you recall that during the week, Croatia defender Domagoj Vida tested positive in Istanbul on Wednesday during friendly with Turkey.

Also, just yesterday, the Egyptian football association announced that Mohamed Salah has tested positive while on international duty.
