Man City Nathan Ake suffers injury while on international duty for Netherlands

Manchester City stat Nathan Ake was substituted after just six minutes in Holland's friendly with Spain.

Manchester City's injury problems have worsened after Nathan Ake was the latest to suffer a setback on Wednesday night.

The versatile defender started at centre-back for the Netherlands in their friendly match with Spain in Amsterdam but had to be taken off after just six minutes.

He was pictured clutching his right hamstring, which appears to be the cause of the injury.

Ake arrived at City this past summer in a £40million transfer from relegated Bournemouth 

Holland play Spain on Wednesday night, before Nations League matches against Bosnia & Herzegovina and Poland.
