Ahead of the game on Sunday evening, Manchester City are sweating on the fitness of Sergio Aguero. It's understood that the Argentine international currently in the race to recover from a hamstring injury.

Recall that Manchester City recorded a comfortable 3-0 win in the mid week UEFA Champions League. They were without Sergio Aguero for the game.

Just so you know, Aguero missed the start of the season for the Etihad Stadium due to a knee injury. The former Atletico Madrid start went ahead and suffered a muscle setback just a week into his return.

He's yet to return to training and doesn't look like he would feature for Guardiola team for this weekend. He might return to the team after the international break.

While Gabriel Jesus is available for Manchester City in their attacking option. The Brazilian international came from the bench to score in mid week game.

Pep Guardiola might be counting on Jesus to lead the attack against Liverpool.
