What happened between me and David Luiz in training - Dani Ceballos

There are rumours of unsettled dressing room at Arsenal, with reports of two senior players having a brawl during training earlier in the week.

Days ago, it was The Athletic that reported  that Dani Ceballos and David Luiz were involved in a training ground bust-up. 

David Luiz reacted angrily to a late tackle from the Ceballos during the training which caused a physical confrontation that had to be broken up by players and staff.

Ceballos was left with a visible scratch on his nose following the fight that broke out. 

Although the manager had reacted, expressing his disappointment in those that leaked the story to the media. 

Dani Ceballos is currently on his second loan spell at Arsenal from Real Madrid. He has come out to reveal that his fight with David Luiz shows that Arsenal are "alive". 

“I’m not going to say that there wasn’t a clash or a scuffle,” the Real Madrid loanee told The Sun when quizzed on his confrontation with Luiz.

“It was not an exemplary behaviour but it is good to see Arsenal is alive - that the team has character."

Arsenal have qualified for the next round of the Europa League following their 3-0 win against Molde in Norway on Thursday. 

The Gunners have been unable to transfer their form in Europe to the Premier League, as they host Wolverhampton this weekend. 

Ceballos added that he shares some leadership qualities with David Luiz. 

He said: “We are two footballers with very similar leadership qualities and these things can happen.”

Ceballos noted that the issue had already been resolved: “We didn’t let a single day go by. We spoke that same afternoon after training.

“Now we have to learn so it does not happen again.”
