Arsenal need to start scoring goals in EPL just like the Europa - Arteta

Arsenal completed their 100 percent winning recording in the Europa League as they thrashed Dundalk four goals to two away from home last night.
Arsenal had already qualified fr the round of 32 prior to the game haven claimed victories and topped the group. 

Mikel Arteta decided to field a lot of young players with likes of Mustafi, Nicolas Pepe, Mohamed Elneny Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares were the only senior players as he rested his preferable staring XI in the league.

Goals from Eddie Nketiah, Mohamed Elneny, Joe Willock and Folarin Balogun ensured the three points were saved despite the home team scoring twice. 

It was the first time they have won six successive European matches since 2005.

After the game, Mikel urged his players to transfer their form in the Europa to the league games.

Arsenal are currently 15th in the league and are yet to win a game since their 1-0 win over Manchester United back in October.

Last week, the Gunners lost 2-0 to Tottenham in their North London derby, prior to that fell 2-1 to Wolves and goalless against Leeds away from home.

"At the end of the day we need to start winning football matches immediately,” he said.“We cannot sustain the results we had in the last six to eight weeks and that has to be immediately and we know that has to start on Sunday.

“Now we have to forget about the Europa League till February and focus on the Premier League strongly, and the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup when it restarts in January."

The manager believes his team needs to score goals or might find themselves struggling for relegation. He added that he needs every player to be free from injury in order to boost his selection and rotation ahead of every fixture. 

Arteta said: “And now we need everybody on board. Obviously we have a large squad and we have a lot of players back from injury so we will have the opportunity to pick who is better in the moment to still rotate some players, but that gives us more options in the Premier League as well to focus there and to get the results that we need.”
