Arsenal's Martinelli Reacts After Playing First Game Since 9 Months

Arsenal were handed injury boost after Gabriel Martinelli made a return to the pitch after nine months on the sidelines due to a knee injury sustained during training.

The Brazilian forward made a 44 minutes appearance for Arsenal's U 21 against AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday night. 

He has taken to his social media space to express appreciation to the club, medical team and fans. 

He captioned: "it was a great feeling to get minutes tonight - huge thanks to the medical and physio teams 

@Arsenal for their fantastic work and to the fans for the amazing support during my long recovery Red heart"
