Gabriel Martinelli responds to ex teammate, Emiliano Martinez on his injury update

Gabriel Martinelli has handed Arsenal an injury scare after limping off in the second half of the Carabao Cup clash against Manchester City.

The Gunners were knocked out of the competition after a 4-1 defeat to Pep Guardiola's side at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

Goals from Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden and Aymeric Laporte sealed a comfortable win for the visitors. 

The teenager was making his first start in nine months after regaining fitness following a serious knee injury suffered in training.

This means Martinelli faces race to be  fitahead of the Boxing Day clash against Chelsea at the Emirates.

Speaking after the game, Arteta delivered an update on Martinelli's condition.

Martinelli himself, took to social media after the game to post some pictures from the match.
