On Thursday, the world governing body in charge of football, FIFA hosted its yearly football award to reward players, teams and coaches for their outstanding performances.
Although, it was hosted virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic and so fans were only able to watch online and football via FIFA official social media handles.

Bayern Munich and Poland star Robert Lewandowski was named the men's best player of the year. This honour hasn't come under debate as many agreed the forward was outstanding last season. He finished top scorer in Europe ahead of Lionel Messi of Barcelona and Juventus Cristiano Ronaldo.

The award which many doesn't seem to agree with seems to be the men's coach of the year.

The category had likes of Marcelo Bielsa of Leeds United, Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool and Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick.

Liverpool boss, Klopp picked up the gong. Although the German tactician recorded his name in the history books when he guided Liverpool to clinch the Premier League title for the first time in 30 years.

But one couldn't over look Hansi Flick who recorded success as he guided Bayern Munich to win the treble last season. Flick didn't start the season with the Bavarians. He came on board to replace Nico Kovac.

The latest to react happens to be Tottenham Hotspur coach Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese believes Flick deserves the award.

"I think the only chance for Flick to win is that Bayern find two or three more new competitions to win it," Mourinho said. "So maybe if he wins seven titles in one season maybe he wins the award, because I believe he only won the Champions League, Bundesliga, Pokal, European Super Cup, German Super Cup - he only won five and the biggest one of all."

Jose Mourinho side faced Liverpool in the mid week fixture at the Anfield stadium. Jurgen Klopp side came out victorious after Roberto Firmino headed home a 90th minutes goal as it ended 2-1.

But Mourinho added that Flick could get another chance if they can replicate their form last season.

He said: "So I think poor Flick the only chance is for Bayern to try and find two or three more trophies to see if he can win it."

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur will face Leicester City on Sunday.
