The game finished 1-1, although the result was insignificant to Jurgen Klopp who had already qualified the Reds after their 1-0 win against Ajax last week.
Liverpool fielded alot of youngsters as Trent Alexander-Arnold was named captain for the game.
The club official skipper Jordan Henderson started the captain from the bench as he was later introduced into the game.
After the match, he took to his twitter to to praise the full who was named captain for the first time.
He captioned: "Brilliant European experience for the younger lads tonight. Great to see @TrentAA lead the side out for the first time too. Into the knockouts we go"
