Jurgen Klopp has since some senior players in his squad hit with long time injuries. The Reds Premier League title defense has been shakey since the start of the season.
Although, the Liverpool aren't flying as they were last season when they won the title with an 18 points gap, they have been picking results in a gradual fashion.

Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage over the weekend and fans observed Diogo wasn't in the match day squad.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp in had now confirmed that the Liverpool attacker will be absent for between six and eight weeks.

Jota has been in great form since he moved from Wolverhampton in the summer. He has scored five goals in nine Premier League games. The Portuguese has also gotten four goals in six in the Champions League games for the Reds who have sealed round of 16 tie against RB Leipzig.

"Yeah, it’s worse than we first thought and better than we then thought," Klopp explained to reporters.

Klopp revealed that
Jota miss eight weeks which means he's expected to return in the middle of February next year.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss also confirmed full back, Kostas Tsimikas is set for a similar lay-off with a knee injury.

He said: "All the potential surgeons had a look on it, no surgery needed. But he will be out for a while. We don’t know exactly but one-and-a-half, two months. We don’t know exactly. It’s pretty similar with Kostas Tsimikas, by the way. Unbelievable.”

Just so you know, Kostas Tsimkas joined Liverpool from Greek side, Olympiacos. The full back was signed as a cover for left back Andy Robertson.

Klopp added: “It was first after the game. We saw the situation when he got it; him himself, nobody would have thought something happened there.

"We got him off the pitch and he said ‘I feel a little bit’ and next day, scans and then a surgeon has to look at it. That’s how we do it, different information. In the end, it’s strange but we were happy that we heard the final diagnosis.”

Liverpool will face Tottenham at Anfield on Wednesday night.
