Mikel Arteta reveals what Arsenal need to do to avoid relegation

Arsenal's form has continued to deep and the club's fell down like a pack of cards in the north London derby on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho who has an impeccable record against the Arsenal, winning 9, drawing 8 and losing 1. On Sunday evening was another win for the former Chelsea manager.

Tottenham Hotspur approached the game with a counter attack style, with Arsenal holding the ball possession. The first goal came when Harry Kane found Son Heung Mi who curled a long range effort pass Bernd Leno. 

Just before half time, Tottenham Hotspur who were on the run with Son Heung-min teed up Harry Kane who lashed the ball to the top of corner with his left foot. 

The Gunners are yet to score a goal since five games and haven't been keeping it neat and tidy at the back either. 

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who was the club's top scorer last season has been struggling with goals this campaign. 

The former Borussia Dortmund star has just two goals so far, he was unable to register a single effort on goal while strike partner Alexandre Lacazette had just two against Tottenham. 

The manager after the game admits his side needs to begin to score goals. 

"You look at all the stats, they're in our favour, but at the end of the day it's about putting the ball in the net," Arteta told a media conference afterwards.

"We had the chances. We had generated probably more than ever this season, put the ball in the box more than ever, had the numbers there.

"But at the end of the day we have to score the goals, and when they had a half chance they scored, and at the moment we haven't. To build something, you need results." 

Arsenal had all the possessions in the game but weren't able to find the back of the net. The Gunners were also dealt an injury blow as Thomas Partey suffered an injury set back. 

He wasn't able to return to the pitch when he went out for treatment before Spurs went ahead to counter for the goal. 

Mikel Arteta went ahead to state that he believes in positivity in the team. 

Arteta added: "I take a lot of positives for the way we played, when we come here in this moment and play with the personality, the courage, the passion, the energy and the belief the boys showed.

"At the end it's a football match and you have to win it, and we lost again today."
