Super Eagles winger, Samuel Kalu will miss their last four games in 2020 due to an injury, according to Bordeaux manager Jean-Louis Gasset.
Kalu return to action last week but he suffered another setback on the quadriceps of his right thigh.
It's been gathered that the attacker has been struggling with muscle strain since he limped off in Nigeria’s 1-0 loss to Algeria in October in a friendly game.
"They had an MRI. I was very optimistic but unfortunately, I must have been disillusioned,” Gasset was quoted by Girondins 33.
“The examination revealed a lesion for both. They are minimal lesions but which require a fortnight's rest. They will not play again. By the winter break, we will see them again in 2021.”
It's understood that the Ligue 1 will take its break from December 23 until January 5. 2021.
Kalu is currently in his third season in France after joining the Girondins on a five-year deal from Belgian club Gent in 2018.
