Photos: Liverpool's Virgil Van Dijk show off his customised shin pads

Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk has remained on the treatment table after his knee ligament injury sustained two months ago against Everton.

It's been gathered that the recovery is going well for the Dutch international. 

He posted a snap showing off his customised shin pads while wishing fans a new year's message advance.

From the picture, he was wearing a shirt with inscription, "Champions 2019-2020" as he held the pads.

The shin pad on the left hand shows pictures of the former Southampton defender while the right shows his beautiful family with name, "Virgil 4" inscribed on it.

He captioned: "Happy New Year to all of you, hope all your dreams and New Year’s resolutions come true in 2021. Let’s bring more love, peace, and happiness in the world. Treat people the way you want to be treated, see you soon! Smiling face with open mouth and smiling eyes"
