Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid: Karim Benzema leads Los Blancos sqaud ahead of Madrid Derby

Real Madrid will host Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Madrid derby on Saturday night.
Zinedine Zidane sealed qualification into the round of 16 of the Champions League during the mid week. The Los Blancos were on the verge of being knocked out if they had lost the game against Monchengladbach.

But two headers from Karim Benzema ensured that Real Madrid sealed a 2-0 win at the Stefano Alfredo stadium.

The French man recently returned back into the team following injury.

It looks like Real Madrid are benefiting from the return of Karim Benzema and their inspirational captain Sergio Ramos.

Recall that Ramos was injured during the international break in November which saw him miss three weeks of football.

Ahead of tonight's game, Eden Hazard is still injured after he was substituted in the loss against Deportivo Alaves two week ago.

Luka Jovic is also another striker who is unavailable for Zinedine Zidane but the Los Blancos should be able to cope in attack given the presence of Benzema, Vinicius, Rodrygo and Asensio.

In the midfield, Zidane has welcome back Valverde from injury. The midfielder has been out since three months. Although, he's not expected to start as he might not be match fit.

Zidane is likely to stick with Kroos, Modric and Casemiro in the middle.

Sergio Ramos is expected to partner Rafael Varane in the centre back of the defense. Real Madrid have also been boosted with the return of full back Dani Carvajal.

Winger Lucas Vasquez has been playing the eight back role since the Spanish full back has been injured, he expected to return to his position.

Check out the squad...
