Roma held on to clinch a 3-2 win over Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico om Wednesday night.
It was Jordan Veretout (Roma) in the 11th minutes with a right footed shot from the centre of the box to the top left corner.
But the away side equalised in the second half, João Pedro (Cagliari) right footed shot from outside the box to the bottom left corner. Assisted by Christian Oliva with a headed pass.
But Roma got two goals to re-take the lead under six minutes. Edin Dzeko (Roma) right footed shot from very close range to the high centre of the goal. Assisted by Rick Karsdorp.
And the third goal came as Gianluca Mancini (Roma) header from very close range to the centre of the goal. Assisted by Chris Smalling with a headed pass following a corner.
Cagliari oulled a late goal in the 90th minutes from the penalty spot as João Pedro (Cagliari) got his brace, it was well converted penalty with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner.
