Aubameyang breaks silence after missing from Arsenal team

Arsenal have been without their captain in the past days due to personal issues. Recall that last week, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was permitted to travel home while the Gunners prepared for the their weekend FA Cup against Southampton.
Mikel Arteta sidr traveled to St Mary's stadium but left with a poor result as they lost 1-0 and were eventually knocked out after Gabriel Magalhães scored an own goal. 

Three days later, Arsenal faced the Saint's again but was a Premier League fixture in which Aubameyang missed the game as Arsenal came from a goal down to record a 3-1 win.

After the game, Mikel Arteta revealed the victory was dedicated to their talisman an captain who hasn't been in the team. 

But Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has finally revealed that reason he traveled back home. 

According to him, it was due to a health issue for his mum. 

Aubameyang wrote on Twitter: “Hey guys, thank you so much for all the messages and calls over the last few days."

He further revealed that she's currently responding to treatment  as he appreciated the medical team that are taking care of her. 

He added that he will be back in London this week ahead of their weekend game against Manchester United 

He added: “My mother is going through some health issues and I had to be there for her. She’s already much better now and I will be back home tonight. I’m more than grateful to the doctors and nurses helping her get through this, and of course, thanks to my Arsenal fam for the love yesterday! I’m more determined than ever to keep our momentum going!

“Thank you all again – I really am beyond blessed to receive this level of support and love from all of you and I can’t wait to be back.”

Arsenal will host Manchester United at Emirates stadium this weekend before they travel to the Molineux to take on Wolves on Tuesday, February 2.
