Arsenal have started their FA Cup defense with a victory over Newcastle. The Gunners hosted Steve Bruce side at the Emirates stadium on Saturday evening.

But the introduction of trio, Bukayo Saka, Alexander Lacazette and Emile Smith-Rowe who broke the deadlock with a right foot finish.

Arsenal got the second with Pierre Aubameyang close range finish from a cross by Kieran Tierney.

After the game, Arsenal defender, David Luiz took to his social media space to dedicate the win to his team mate, Gabriel Martinelli.
19 years old Martinelli was named in the match day squad but it was reported that he picked up an injury during warm up. He was removed from the team sheet and was replaced by Reiss Nelson.

Martinelli has been struggling with a knee injury sustained during training back in March which saw him miss the remaining games of last season.

Before the injury to Martinelli, he scored 10 goals for the Gunners in 30 appearances last season.

Although, the extent of the injury is yet to be revealed but fans are hopeful it isn't a season ending injury for the young Brazilian.
