Manchester City thrashed Birmingham City 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Bernardo Silva scored a brace as well as the third from Phil Foden which saw Pep Guardiola side seal qualification into the fourth round.
Ahead the game, the manager, Guardiola gave updates on two players who missed the game.

Sergio Aguero has been struggling to find his feet this season due to injuries, the Argentine recently recovered from a knee problem.

But Guardiola had revealed that he's currently isolating after he had contact with someone who tested positive for coronavirus. The good news for Manchester City is that Sergio Aguero has tested negative.

He said: " Unfortunately Sergio Aguero
was in contact, more than usual, with a person who is (COVID-19) positive so he isolates for a few days.
He is negative and he is negative now too, but the protocol says if we have been incontact we have to isolate."

Another player who missed the game was Laporte, the French defender hasn't been in the team for weeks due to injury. The manager revealed Laporte has returned to personal training but in few days he's expected to join the rest of the team.

Pep said:" Yesterday Laporte
had a first training session alone. So hopefully in one week, I don't know exactly but hopefully one week, ten days, he will be okay."
