Liverpool's Premier League title defense might be heading in another direction that the manager and team will not comfortable with. 

The Reds have been hit with series of injuries especially to their defenders such as Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip. 

Jurgen Klopp has deployed his midfielders in Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to that position, although they haven't been conceding goals at the back but scoring the goals might be a concern. 

The front trio of Mohamed Salah, Saido Mane and Roberto Firmino have struggled for goals with the recent against Manchester United which ended goalless. 

Following the draw at Anfield on sunday evening, Manchester United have opened a three points gap at the top of the Premier League table. 

After the game, Jurgen Klopp said that he's side are currently focusing on finishing the the top four position at the end of season. 

He also admitted that defending the Premier League title which they won in stunning fashion last season might be tough given the inconsistent of his team. 

Jurgen Klopp said: "The most important thing is to qualify for the Champions League and I know how difficult it is. 

"This season it will be a tough race for the top four."
