It's been gathered that Ozil last game for Arsenal was the Gunners 1-0 win against West Ham which he assisted Alexander Lacazette goal back in March.
It was reported that the former Real Madrid star fell out of favour at the club after he refused a pay cut which was proposed by the club during the pandemic.
Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that Mesut Ozil is free to leave this January window. Although, he's Arsenal's highest earner with a weekly wage of 350,000 pounds per week.
According to Goal, Mesut Ozil has been linked with a move to join Turkish side, Fenerbahce. There are reports that he has agreed personal terms with the Turkish side.
Meanwhile, Ozil spoke about his admiration for Fenerbahce during his question and answer session with his fans on Twitter.
Fans of the talisman have been involved in a conversation with him on Twitter while using the hashtag #AskMesut.
In one of the questions, he revealed Fenerbahce has been his boyhood club as he currently has some Turkish roots.
In another response, he said that Fenerbahce is one of he biggest clubs in Turkey.
