Mesut Ozil, wife and daughter jet off to Turkey ahead of Fenerbahce move

It looks likes the future of Mesut Ozil at Arsenal has been decided as the midfielder is on the verge of completing his move to Turkish side Fenerbahce on three-and-a-half-year deal.

According to Sky Sports, Mesut Ozil has said goodbye to his Arsenal team-mates and club staff at London Colney on Sunday. 

The 32-year-old is Arsenal's highest earner with weekly wages of around 350,000 pounds per week. 

Although, the former Real Madrid star has not played for the Gunners since March after being frozen out by manager Mikel Arteta. He wasn't included in the Premier League and Europa League squads for this 2020-2021 season. 

Mesut Ozil's contract was due to expire at the end of the season but it's been gathered that Arsenal have agreed with the play maker to terminate his contract this January in order to facilitate the move to Fenerbahce. 

Earlier today, Mesut Ozil was pictured on a private plane travelling to Turkey ahead of a medical at Fenerbahce.

Ozil was pictured on the plane with his wife and daughter as they posed for photographs with flags of Turkey and Fenerbahce behind them. 

It's been gathered that the paper work and medical is expected to be completed on Monday before the deal becomes official.
