 Leeds struggled to get into their usual rhythm and hardly threatened the Seagulls, who held on for an important victory.

Leeds will look to get back to winning ways as they travel to face Newcastle United next, while Brighton host Blackpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup before Fulham visit them in the Premier League.
