Solskjaer gives update on Cavani, Pogba and two others ahead of Burnley clash

Over the weekend, Manchester United sealed their fourth round of clash against Liverpool after the defeated Watford in the FA Cup. 

Scott McTominay scored the only goal in the 5th minutes with a powerful header to give Manchester United a 1-0 win at Old Trafford. 

Manchester United are currently in the second place in the Premier League and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side have an opportunity to go top ahead of Liverpool on Tuesday. 

It's been gathered that the Red Devils side will travel to face Burnley at Turf Moore. 

The Red Devils are yet to lose a game in their last three games. Manchester United have only dropped a point against Leicester City on Boxing day have have since moved to clinch two wins on the bounce. 

Ahead of the game against Sean Dyche men, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Edinson Cavani is available for selection. The Uruguayan striker, has completed serving his three-match domestic ban.

“Edinson has trained well since he’s been banned. He’s had a couple of days off as well - you can’t train too much. He’s ready to go,” Solskjaer told reporters.

The manager has praised the forward who joined as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. He said that Cavani is a different striker than his three forwards of Martial, Greenwood and Rashford. 

Ole said: “He’s a different option. He’s a different type of striker to Mason [Greenwood], Anthony [Martial] and Marcus [Rashford]. I’m glad to have him back and that’s why we brought him in.

“He’s contributed really well so far. I’m sure he’ll be really important for us between now and the end of the season. The end of the season starts tomorrow night.“

Solskjaer has also given update on Eric Bailly who was substituted against Watford in the FA Cup over the weekend. 

It's been gathered that the Ivorian injured his neck during a aerial ball contest. But Bailly hS recovered as he trained with his team mates today. 

It's also been confirmed that the trio of Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba are back in training after they missed Watford game. 

Ole added: “Yeah, all of them trained today,” Ole added. “Paul and Eric didn’t do all of it, but Luke and Victor did all of it. I’ve got a decent amount of players to pick from. Let’s see with Paul and Eric and how they are tomorrow.”
