Norwich City have confirmed three cases of coronavirus at the club, with goalkeeper Tim Krul revealing he is one of those to have caught the virus.

The Championship leaders, who play Coventry City in the FA Cup third round on Saturday lunchtime, said that the trio had been informed and were isolating at home.

Krul took to Instagram to tell his followers of his condition after the club made its announcement.

'Earlier this week I was informed by the club that my COVID test came back positive,' he wrote.

I immediately began my self-isolation period. I feel under the weather and fatigued. It's an important reminder to stay safe. This virus is not a hoax and to protect those around us.'

The positive tests come on the week after the Canaries beat a Covid-19 depleted Barnsley at Carrow Road.

The Tykes were without Valerien Ismael confirms that all of Alex Mowatt, Conor Chaplin, Brad Collins and George Miller for the Championship clash last Saturday.

Norwich's FA Cup tie against Coventry will go ahead on Saturday, but plenty of other FA Cup ties have fallen foul of the virus.
