Uruguay's Football Players Association Has Backed Edinson Cavani Despite FA Sanction Over Alleged Racist Post

Uruguay's football players have joined forces to emphatically condemn Edinson Cavani's three-match ban for using a racial term and accused the FA of committing a 'true discriminatory act' by punishing the Manchester United striker.

Recall that Cavani was hit with the suspension after using the word 'negrito' in an Instagram post after the club's victory over Southampton on November 29, before taking it down and apologising.




The Manchester United forward despite apologising for his post, he has been fined and slammed with three match ban by the English Football Association. 

But Uruguayan Football players association have all joined hands to react with hàn official statement, which reads:
