The Blues who are yet to loose a game since Thomas Tuchel took over defeated Atletico Madrid 1-0 awa from in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16.
It seems Thomas Tuchel who replaced Frank Lampard has transformed the side and brought in a positive believe for the team.
The only goal of the gamecwas scored by Olivier Giroud who started ahead of Tammy Abraham.
The French striker scored a breathtaking bicycle kick to give the Blues a first-leg advantage going into next month’s return clash.
After the game, Tuchel hailed the striker's instinct with the finish, stating that he trains like a 24 years old player.
Tuchel said: ‘If you see him on a daily basis, you can’t be surprised. His body is in shape, his physicality is top level. He enjoys every day being a professional soccer player. He trains like a 24-year-old.
‘He is the guy who has a good mix of being serious and enjoying training.'
Oliver Giroud is currently in his 30's and he has currently on his final year of his Chelsea contract.
Although, it's not certain if he will be handed a contract renewal at the end of the season, given the club's new policy of handing players above 30 years only one year deal.
Tuchel who continued with praises for Giroud admitted he always positive whether he comes off the bench.
Tuchel added: ‘He is always positive and a big factor for the group. When he starts or comes off the bench, he has all the qualities.’
