"Exceptional Gundogan will be ready to face Arsenal" - Guardiola

Manchester City have been in excellent form in all competitions. The Citizens are yet to drop a point so far as the have recorded 10 consecutive victories.
Pep Guardiola side are in the front race to clinch the Premier League title this season as they lead with 10 points on top of the Premier League table. 

It's no doubt that Guardiola's men are favourites to seal the title come May. 

Last night, their 3-1 win over Everton was another claim for the title contending notion.

Although, Manchester City were without their in form midfielder in Ilkay Gundogan but still kept things tight as they dominated the game as usual. 

Gundogan who is currently enjoying a great spell at the moment, the Germany international has 11 goals in his last 12 Premier League games for Manchester City. The former Borussia Dortmund star got braces against Liverpool and Tottenham back to back.

Although, he picked up an injury against Tottenham last weekend, it was a slight groin strain in the 3-0 win over Tottenham last weekend and missed the 3-1 win over Everton as a result.


But Pep Guardiola has expressed his optimism that the German international will return ahead of weekend game against Arsenal. 

“He is much, much better, better,” said Pep said after their victory against Everton. “It is not a big issue, but to avoid risk today, we have given him a few more days to recover. 

“But for Arsenal and Borussia Monchengladbach he should be ready."

Guardiola went ahead to hail the talent of the world cup winner, stating that he is an exceptional player. 

Guardiola said:" Of course Gundo is exceptional. We spoke about that. If you want to win titles and finals we need the whole squad.”
