Mourinho Confirms Serge Aurier Is Available To Face Chelsea

It looks like Jose Mourinho has finally spoken to Serge Aurier and both the manager and player have addressed the miscommunication which went down last week.

Jose Mourinho side aren't in a good place due to injury to their talisman Harry Kane. Recall that Kane was injured in the loss to Liverpool last week.

This means that Tottenham are short in attack and the arrival of Gareth Bale from Real Madrid hasn't proved any impact on the team yet.

Although, Bale has been struggling with fitness which he's known for.

But on Thursday, Tottenham will face their London rival as Jose Mourinho return to face his former club.

Ahead of the 9pm kick off, Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Serge Aurier has returned to the squad.

If you recall that Aurier stormed out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at half-time after he was substituted in the first half against Liverpool.

This prompted his omission from Tottenham's team that lost to Brighton over the weekend.

According to Football London, Jose said: “Yeah, yes Serge is fine. He's the only player back to the group. He's the only one so it's Alfie Devine that leaves the group.

“In spite of working with us, he and Dane Scarlett now they work with us every day, now they go back to the academy to play, in this case Devine will not be involved because Serge will occupy his place in the squad.”

Serge Aurier has made 11 league appearances so far in the season for Spurs.

When Mourinho asked about Aurier’s absence in their last game against Brighton, the manager stated it wasn't because of injury.

Jose said: “No, no, no, not injury.”
