Premier League: Jesse Lingard shines on his debut with a brace as West Ham thrashed Aston Villa (Highlights) 2020-2021

A brace from Lingard on his debut helps West Ham to a 3-1 win over Villa. Soucek opened the scoring in the 51st minute before Lingard scored his first five minutes later following a quick break for the visitors. 

Antonio could've added a third if not for a brilliant goal-line clearance from Mings. Watkins then pulled one back for Villa, but Lingard sealed the points two minutes later with his second of the game.

The victory moves West Ham back into fifth, above Everton after their win earlier, and are now just two points behind Liverpool in fourth. Next up for them is a trip to Fulham. While Villa stay in ninth, missing the opportunity to move above today's opponents and Smith will be hoping that they can bounce back against Arsenal on Saturday.
