Everton win their first Merseyside derby at Anfield since 1999 with a 2-1 victory over Liverpool. They took the lead three minutes in when Richarlison picked out the bottom corner. Pickford made three big saves to keep it at 1-0, denying Henderson and Alexander-Arnold in the first half, before smothering Salah's shot after the break.

 Sigurdsson then converted a penalty to seal the win after Calvert-Lewin was caught by Alexander-Arnold.

Everton are now level on points with Liverpool, only behind them on goal difference and they're now unbeaten in eight away from home. Everton will host Southampton at home, and Liverpool, hope to bounce in the Premier League and they're without a win at home in six. Klopp will be hoping that they can bounce back next time out against Sheffield United.
