It ends all square, and that's probably fair enough. Newcastle were the better team in the first half with Almiron hitting the post and the effervescent Saint-Maximin having a goal ruled out for offside, but the pair both went off with injuries and the hosts lost their fluency in the second half.

La
scelles nevertheless headed them in front from Fraser's pinpoint cross and the game looked to be fizzling out before a late flurry from Wolves. Neves twisted in the air to equalise with his first headed goal for the club while Jonny and the substitute Silva both had chances late on - the latter denied by Dubravka's reaction save onto the woodwork in stoppage time. Joelinton had Newcastle's best chance to win it but was denied by a stunning goalline clearance from Saiss with 10 minutes to play.
A point isn't all that useful to either side. Newcastle remain 17th, four points ahead of Fulham who have a game in hand. Wolves stay 12th but the teams either side of them both have games in hand to play tomorrow.
