Thiago Silva got injured after first half in Chelsea's derby clash against Tottenham

Thiago Silva limped off the pitch with an apparent leg injury in the first half of Chelsea's clash with Tottenham.

The Brazilian looked to have injured himself as he overstretched to clear a ball just after the half-hour mark at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Silva was unable to continue after receiving treatment from Chelsea's medical staff on the pitch, with Andreas Christensen subsequently brought on as his replacement.

Chelsea went ahead to claim a 1-0 win over Spurs all thanks to Jorginho's penalty in the 23rd minutes. 

The 36-year-old, Silva was making his 17th Premier League appearances for the Blues since joining the club on a free transfer, and his third under new head coach Thomas Tuchel.
