Former manager Frank Lampard struggled to build the confidence of Werner which cost Lampard his job at the Stamford Bridge.
It's been gathered that Timo Werner has been only to score at 10 goals in 34 appearances for the Blues this campaign.
Following the sacking of Lampard, Thomas Tuchel has lifted the spirits of the players as there have been some confidence build up in their pattern of play.
Werner found that back of the net last week against Newcastle after a long goal drought. The forward has even gotten three assists in his first six games under Tuchel.
But the former RB Leipzig striker has blamed himself for the sacking of Frank Lampard.
According to him, if he was scoring the goals for his side, their manager wouldn't lose his job.
"When you come here to play as a striker and be the man to score the goals, of course, I felt a little bit guilty that I missed so many chances," Werner told Sky Sports. "For the club, for the old manager but also for me because I want to score all the time and as much as I possibly can.
"Of course, if I'd scored four or five more goals maybe the old manager would still be here because we'd maybe have won two or three games more but you can't look too much into the past because there are too many games ahead of us."
Chelsea will host Manchester United at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening. The game is expected to kick off at 5:30pm GMT.
Timo is expected to start for Chelsea will be hoping to get on the score sheet.
