The Super Eagles of Nigeria have ended their qualification for AFCON on a high following a sounding 3-0 victory against Lesotho.
It was the first time that Nigeria national team will return to Lagos for a game after 10 years. The game was played ay the Teslim Balogun stadium.

Nigeria looked to be comfortable all through the game as they controlled possession in a game which was inconsequential following the Super Eagles qualification for 2022 AFCON set to ne hosted in Cameroon.


After 23 minutes in the game, Victor Osimhen gave the Eagles the lead with a fine finish. The Napoli forward who won the game man of the match got an assist in the 50th minutes goal by Ogenekaro Etebo.
Nigeria added the third from the right boots of Paul Onuachu when he came off the bench. Recall that he scored in last week's 1-0 win over Benin Republic.

After the game, the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has hailed the Eagles for their performance. 

He tweeted: "Happy to witness a victory for the Super Eagles as we celebrate the #SuperEaglesHomecoming at the Teslim Balogun Stadium. 
Now we look forward to the African Cup of Nations. Well done to the coach, team and the supporters. #SpiritOfLagos"
