It appears that the career of English international has turned the positive corner at the moment.

Jesse Lingard has often been criticised following his performances in the past for Manchester United. He struggled to get a game as he fell down the pecking order under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

After he was unable to get some game time under his belt, the forward seek for a loan move to another club.

During the January window, Lingard completed a loan deal to West Ham, and he seems to have clicked under David Moyes side.

Lingard has five goals and two assists in seven games for West Ham.
His recent form has earned him a recall to the England squad for the first time in two years.
Gareth Southgate has called up Lingard ahead of their World Cup qualifiers. Ahead of the game, Lingard revealed Southgate advised him to join West Ham to get more playing time.

Speaking to TalkSport, he said:'He's shown a lot of support and belief in me, he (Southgate) gave me my England debut, which I'm proud of. I still kept in contact with him even though I wasn't playing, just to get his advice on what I should do.'

England set to face San Marino on Thursday before they travel away three days later play Albania.

The Three Lions will now host Poland few days later and it's been gathered that Lingard could get the opportunity to feature in these games.

Lingard added: 'It was just about the right move, whether it was going out to Europe or staying in the Premier League. He (Southgate) said, 'If I was you, I would stay in the Premier League'. After that, it was about finding a Premier League side and West Ham fitted in perfectly.'
