Ivory Coast's AFCON Qualifiers against Ethiopia was called off early after referee collapsed during the game

Ivory Coast's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with Ethiopia descended into chaos on Tuesday afternoon when the referee collapsed on the pitch.

Goals from Wolves defender Willy Boly, AC Milan's Franck Kessie and Jean Kouassi gave Ivory Coast the victory. But while Ivory Coast were leading 3-1 after 80 minutes, footage shows Charles Bulu being helped by players after seems to have collapsed.

Meanwhile, the fourth official who took Bulu's place was unable to take charge for the remainder of the match because he is Ivorian.
After discussions, it was agreed that the game would be brought to an end 10 minutes early, but that the result would still stand.

With Madagascar having played out a 0-0 draw with Niger in the group's other game, both Ivory Coast and Ethiopia have qualified for the finals next January.

Reports suggest Bulu was treated on the pitch before being carried off on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital for tests.
