Solskjaer reveal reason for Rashford substitution against AC Milan

Manchester United have qualified for the quarter final following their win against AC Milan. The Red Devils traveled to the San Siro on Thursday night.


Prior to the game, it finished 1-1 at Old Trafford last month when Kjaer header late in the game canceled Amad Diallo second half opener.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side habe already qualified for the quarter-final after recorded a 1-0 win over the Rossoneri at San Siro.


Paul Pogba came off the bench to inspire the win after he scored in the 47th minutes.

Meanwhile, Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford was replaced due to a suspected injury.

The English international was withdrawn as he was replaced by Paul Pogba at half-time at the San Siro.

But Solskjaer said after the game that he made the decision to pull him out due to precaution.


On Rashford injury: “Marcus a little twinge - we couldn't take a chance on him," Solskjaer said about the game.

Manchester United will now face Granada in the quarter-finals following the draws which went down today.
