It's been gathered that the Super Eagles of Nigeria have safely landed in Port Novo ahead of their AFCON Qualifiers against Benin. 
Gernot Rohr men will face the Squirrel of Benin Republic on Saturday and the kick off is 5pm GMT. 
Nigeria are currently in search of a point to seal their qualification for the AFCON tournament in Cameroon while Benin will be counting on continuing their home form which has seen them remain unbeaten at home since over a year. 
According to reports gathered, the Super Eagles of Nigeria made the trip via boat due to the travelling restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. 
They arrived Benin Republic at around 4pm after they departed in the early hours of Friday morning. 
Some of the media men and fans were at the border shores to welcome the players and members of the backroom staff. 

It's been gathered that the players also had to undertake a compulsory Covid-19 test at their point of entry. 

The Eagles will lodge at the Golden Tulip Le Diplomat Hotel in Cotonou, Benin. 

According to Tweets shared by the verified Twitter handle of Super Eagles: "We have arrived in Porto Novo. We also had our mandatory Covid test done at the point of entry. We've settled in and lodged at the Golden Tulip Le Diplomat Hotel in Cotonou."
