Stones was badly caught in possessionon the edge of his own penalty area by Brighton’s Jakub Moder - who then took a pass from Arkadiusz Milik and finished well past Nick Pope 13 minutes after the restart.
With time ticking away, Stones made amends at the other end - his athletic header at the back post off a corner allowing Maguire to rifle home a great volley with five minutes left on the clock.
