The Gunners missed a lot of chances in the game but there ead a sign of relief when Mikel Arteta made changes with introduction of Nicolas Pepe.
The Ivorian opened the game’s scoring inside the closing five minutes of the game. But Arsenal failed to clear their lines in the 90th minutes ad they allowed Slavia Prague grab a late equaliser.
It was the last kick of the game, which saw Slavia stopper Tomas Holes headed a stoppage time goal from a corner kick to the Czech giants an away goal advantage heading into the second leg next week.
After the final whistle, Tomas Holes who has scored the equaliser stepped up to Arsenal's defender Hector Bellerin to ask for his shirt.
But the Spanish international who wasn't happy with the result simply replied saying, "no" and he walked away.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are back in action in the Premier League on Sunday when they travel away to face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
