Micheal Essein sits on the fence as Chelsea face Real Madrid in Champions League

Chelsea will travel to Spain to face Real Madrid at the Stefano Alfredo stadium later tonight in the first leg of the semi final in the Champions League. 

The game is expected to kick off at 8pm GMT, and there have been several predictions for the result of the game. 
The Blues have been looking good since they appointed Thomas Tuchel as their manager. The German only lost to Porto in the second leg of quarter final but advance on 2-1 aggregate. 

Meanwhile, former Chelsea star has expressed his thought ahead of the game tonight. 

Although the former Blues midfielder refuse to predict the winner as he wished the two sides all the best.

It appears that the Ghana international was sitting on the fence because he had played for the two sides at some point in his career. 

Essien made his name with Chelsea 2005 from Lyon for  £24.4 million transfer fee. 

During his nine years spell at Chelsea, he won the Premier League in 2006 and 2010, three FA Cups,one League Cup and one UEFA Champions League in 2012. 

Micheal Essien also played for Real Madrid, as he joined the Los Blancos for a loan deal in 2012 /2013 season. 

Taking to his social media space, @michaelessien he posted a picture of himself wearing the two clubs jersey with the caption: 

"Wishing both teams the best of luck in tonight's game #ChampionsLeague ⚽️🏃🏿🏃💙"
