Real Madrid have been dealt another injury blow despite their win against Barcelona.
It's been gathered that Lucas Vazquez jas suffered a serious injury which might have ruled him out for remaining games of the season.
The winger was involved in a collision with Sergio Busquets, with Vazquez coming off worse in the challenge. He was eventually replaced in the first half while Real Madrid were leading two goals to nil.
According to an official statement from Real Madrid which reads: "Following tests carried out today on Lucas Vazquez by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a sprain to the posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. His recovery will continue to be assessed."
Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-1 to move top of La Liga following the victory at the Stefano Alfredo stadium.
Meanwhile, Lucas' contract at Real Madrid expires this summer and it's not yet certain whether he will be handed a new deal.
Real Madrid have their captain Sergio Ramos, Eden Hazard and Dani Carvajal on the injury list at the moment.
